This work is about the power of prayer and meditation. We all come to a point where we need help from somewhere outside of ourselves, and sometimes from beyond what we know about this world.
The work incorporates a combination of organic forms and vegetation with geometric patterns based on Islamic designs. The sharp contrast, rich colors, meditative quality in of this work make it one of my favorites.
The symbol of the knot in this work represents the idea of meditation and divine guidance. The knot is created with nine-fold symmetry, as a reminder that before perfection and completeness (represented by ten) we must seek help from somewhere beyond ourselves.
