Life is an adventure, we often set out unprepared for the challenges that we face. We set our sights on the stars, but forget to bring along our paddles.

This work represents the adventures in life. It also represents how we are most always unprepared for what life will bring us.

The Islamic patterns and design contrast the chaotic and organic nature and motion of the water.

Symbolism of the Knot

The knot in this work represents our life’s journey as a path. We walk continuously, often crossing our own path. It also represents an ongoing connection to the cosmos, and the human desire to find purpose in our lives.
